A healthcare technology firm needed a reliable, secure platform engineering practice stood up from scratch — covering multi-environment infrastructure, containerized deployments, SOC2 compliance, and CI/CD pipelines capable of supporting AI/LLM service delivery.

What We Did

Designed Terraform modules provisioning Azure infrastructure across Dev, Nonprod, UAT, and Production. Implemented blue-green Kubernetes deployments for zero-downtime releases. Built DevSecOps security scans for SOC2. Delivered CI/CD pipelines supporting MLOps model packaging and AI/LLM service deployments.

A high-volume healthcare identity verification platform ran 100+ microservices across production AKS clusters. The team needed full-stack observability across infrastructure, applications, and AI/ML workloads — with the reliability bar a healthcare identity system demands.

What We Did

Operated and maintained AKS clusters at scale. Architected Terraform-based Azure infrastructure including VNets, clusters, and managed databases. Implemented Datadog across the full stack — metrics, logs, APM — covering both application services and AI/ML workloads.

Air-Gapped + Secure Kafka
The Challenge

The client operated in air-gapped environments where standard cloud tooling and connectivity assumptions don't apply. They needed a secure data streaming architecture and cloud infrastructure built for environments with no public internet access.

What We Did

Architected Azure cloud infrastructure (VNet, Storage, ACR, AKS) for air-gapped deployment. Designed a secure Kafka integration architecture using TLS encryption and SASL SCRAM-SHA-512 authentication, with Strimzi custom resources separating authentication and authorization. Built ADF pipelines for data ETL and management.

Outcome

Production-grade cloud infrastructure running in a fully air-gapped environment. Kafka streaming secured to enterprise standards.

The Challenge

New feature development was actively breaking deployments on a mission-critical aerospace software platform used by a federal prime contractor. The legacy CI/CD pipeline had no security scanning and was buckling under concurrent development pressure.

What We Did

Redesigned the CI/CD architecture to eliminate deployment conflicts. Introduced automated SAST, DAST, and container vulnerability scanning — shifting security left across the entire development process.

Outcome

Deployment stability restored. Release velocity improved. Security hardening added across a federal prime contractor's production codebase.

The Challenge

A state agency needed to migrate a live, public-facing child protection case management portal from on-premises servers to Azure — with zero tolerance for downtime on a system that directly serves vulnerable populations.

What We Did

Executed a full Azure migration using Terraform IaC for repeatable deployments. Built high-availability architecture with redundant databases and automated failover, eliminating the agency's on-prem server management burden entirely.

Outcome

Zero service disruption during migration of a live, sensitive government system.

Worley — Limetree Petroleum Refinery

The Challenge

A petroleum refinery had been dormant for over a decade. Operational control systems were offline. The client needed a licensed engineer who could restore the OT environment and integrate modern cloud services simultaneously — a combination almost no single firm can deliver.

What We Did

Restored the full Honeywell Experion C300 DCS and brought the facility back to operational status. Integrated Azure Functions for serverless on-demand machinery statistics — OT restoration and cloud modernization delivered in a single engagement. PE license authorized on-site signing and sealing of engineering documents.

Outcome

Facility fully operational after 10–12 years of dormancy. Rare IT/OT convergence delivered by a PE-licensed engineer.
